Good News for Baker 7

This is a super short post to say that editing is underway for the Bakers’ 7th adventure (in Scotland). The title will be announced soon, and the the story will, Lord willing, be published in time for Christmas!

In the meantime, here’s a little question for you.
Last year, we settled around a table at a cozy restaurant in the Scottish Highlands while clouds thickened overhead and rain pattered outside the window.

Can you guess what I ordered for supper that night based on these three options? The wording is straight from the menu.

  • Roast Aberdeen Angus silverside of beef, served with Yorkshire pudding
  • Roast leg of local lamb in a delicious mint gravy
  • Roasted local haunch of venison served with a rich, chocolate-based gravy

What would you have chosen?

  1. Oh, yay! We can’t wait for it! =)

My sister and I think you might have ordered the, “Roast Aberdeen Angus silverside of beef, served with Yorkshire pudding,” but I really have no idea! My second choice would be the lamb with mint gravy.
I would probably order the former if I had a choice.
I’m sure you had a wonderful time there!
Thank you for writing wonderful books that we all can enjoy! =)

  2. I think you chose the “Roasted local haunch of venison served with a rich, chocolate-based gravy”. I think I would get…the lamb with mint gravy. It all looks good!

  3. I would have ordered the beef with Yorkshire pudding, but I also thought (in common with others) you chose the venison and chocolate gravy. What did you chose?

Can’t wait to read the new book!

    • This is impressive! Over half of you guessed right.
      Well done!

      For supper . . . I ordered . . .
      . . .

I rarely get the chance to eat venison, and while I couldn’t imagine chocolate and gravy to be a good combination, I knew I would be wondering about it afterward if I didn’t give it a try. The dish was delicious! It turns out that chocolate is always a good idea. ๐Ÿ™‚
