Hello everyone! 🙂

It’s been a while since I did a Q&A post here (sorry about that). Many of you were intrigued by the idea of a reverse Q&A, where I ask you things I’m curious about. So after tackling a few of your questions, I’ll ask you some of my own!
1) Will the Predzels be in any future books?
I’m not sure yet. I haven’t planned to include them, but they may appear in a future story if they could help the main characters.
2) Did Sigurd get Gleym back?
Yes, definitely. 🙂 I love the fact that you remembered to ask about her!
3) Do we know what happened to Jigson’s parents?
Oh, I can’t wait for you to read Hunting in the Highlands! The answer is yes!
4) How much of the Hrein Orka in Iceland Intrigue is based on real science, and how much is fiction?
It’s mainly fiction … but who knows? Maybe there are principles of it that someone has yet to discover 😉
5) What is the significance of ‘Twelve Lemons’?
It’s a phrase with quite a personal meaning for Jigson and Detective Mortimer – otherwise it wouldn’t have guaranteed Jigson’s identity in Iceland Intrigue.
Is it part of a big mystery? Or is it something more innocuous? Will they spill the beans in Book 8? … Maybe!
6) When you wrote Hunting the Highlands did you plan out the whole book before you started writing?
Yes. I did make a careful plan so that the book would progress with logical structure and so I would know where the story was going – it had the potential to be quite confusing with characters splitting up and traipsing all over Scotland.
But the need to be flexible arose when I reached the end and realized that the climax was not right for the story … so a whole new ending had to be written!
Do you have burning questions for a future post? Send them via the contact page!

Now … here are my questions for you! 🙂
1. Who are your top 2 favourite male characters?
2. Who are your top 2 female characters?
3. Who is your favourite villain? (Miss Verton, Lewis Nickel, Bud Larone, Rolf/escaped convicts, Dainn, Herr Klaus, or someone else?)
4. Which is your favourite title in the series, and why?
5. Should one of the characters be in a relationship/courtship? Who and why? (I’m not promising anything by asking this 😉 I’m genuinely curious! 🙂 )
I look forward to finding out what you think! 🙂
Yes I so like the idea of Alistair and Abby. I really don’t know whether I like Alistair or Rolf better! But I definitely like Briosa and Phil. That would be great. But Anna and Phil would be good too. Their personalities are more similar though.
I like Alistair better then Rolf . BUT definitely Briosa and Phil.
Yes totally!
Some ideas:
Phil/Anna Predzel OR Briosa
Abby/Alistair (since most of us have decided Jigson is too old)
Milly/Rolf (If Abby can’t have Rolf, he still needs to be connected to the family somehow!!)
Andy/Briosa (Although I really think he should be the one who doesn’t get married in the series. He’ll take longer to grow up than Abby or Phil, and doesn’t seem to have the same depths of emotion quite yet)
Jigson/Nobody. (Unless Miss Hedgcock decides to whip up a character who would fit him perfectly)
If Miss Hedgcock decides to put Dr. Roth in more, he and Abby would be a cool couple too. Just a thought.
For once, I’m glad Abby is just a fictional character. Its kind of funny that we’ve devoted dozens of comments to matchmaking for her! But there are more boys than girls in the story, which limits our options when it comes to suggesting couples. But if Abby is to young to get married, Briosa or Milly definitely needs to!
I actually really like the idea of Dr. Roth and Abby!
I really like the idea of Phil and Anna Predzel.
What about Cassidy and Phil. And maybe Jigson and Briosa.
What about Cassidy and Alistair?
Now that’s and idea!
Somehow I don’t see Dr. Roth and Abby working out. I like Abby and Fergus or Abby and Alistair.
Dr. Roth is a little strange. No, he’s a lot strange! Which makes him rather interesting. If any of you think back to the treacherous trail, how Rake i think it was, said that the reason he never suspected Phil of being a spy, was because he acted so nervous, and unprofessional. He said if he had acted assured and capable then he would have blown his cover. Thats exactly how I would describe Dr. Roth! Hmmmmm?
Wow Leah! I’ve never thought of it that way!
I really would like Abby/Fergus!
1. Who are your top 2 favourite male characters?
FERGUS!!! Andy.
2. Who are your top 2 female characters?
Abby, Cassidy.
3. Who is your favourite villain? (Miss Verton, Lewis Nickel, Bud Larone, Rolf/escaped convicts, Dainn, Herr Klaus, or someone else?)
Miss Verton.
4. Which is your favourite title in the series, and why?
Hunting in the Highlands! I really liked the Abby/Fergus story!
5. Should one of the characters be in a relationship/courtship? Who and why? (I’m not promising anything by asking this 😉 I’m genuinely curious! 🙂 )
YES!
Abby/Fergus
Phil/Anna
Yes, Phil and Anna.
I was thinking the same thing ! I meant to change one of my favorite male characters from Phil to Andy…
Yes defiantly. I’ve been thinking that ever since Prisoners of the Pyrenees!!!
I thought more of Phil marrying Anna but Briosa would balance out his calm character.
I thought the same.
Funny this is the second night in a row my phone has died well I was trying to post a comment here. LOL 😅
LOL! I’ve been following this post since it started, and my computer hasn’t died yet.
LOL, My computer has died 2 or 3 times since this was posted but I do a lot of my schoolwork and all my editing on it so that is expected.
Yes me too! i’m editing a book right now!
I Edit videos actually. I’m no good at writing I’m to dramatic.
Leah, is it a book you wrote? I wrote a 32 chapter novel and I’m almost finished editing it.
Hey, that’s cool what is it about?
Yes I’m writing a book. I’m hoping it will be about 40-50 chapters. Whats yours about? Writing is so fun!
Wow! Leah, a 40-50 chapter book? That’s amazing! Will it become a series? What is yours about? If you publish it I will want to read it. Writing is definitely a whole lot of fun. I do it every day. My book is about a Christian family who loves mysteries and adventures. I’m going to do a series. I will publish the book probably in the summer. I’m writing book two also and have planned out book three.
That sounds a bit like the baker books! Miss Hedgcock is such an inspiration! Actually, I write historical action/adventure. I don’t know if thats an actual genre but it’s not your typical historical fiction. Actually, have you read books by a guy named John J Horn? So mine is sort of that style. It’s set in the french revolution. So yes it’s fun. Wow yours sounds neat! If you publish it, I’ll read it!
This book series will be similar to Miss Hedgcock’s. She is such an inspiration. I do plan on doing more series with my own idea. I haven’t read any by John J. Horn but I have wanted to. Didn’t he write the Men Of Grit series? I can’t wait to see the day when we publish books.
Yes he wrote the men of grit series. They are so good. Yes it’s exciting! I think I don’t hold to a certain side. I would tend to say that the revolutionaries were wrongly treated and they wanted reform. The desire wasn’t wrong, they just went about it the wrong way. And Louis XVI was not a tyrant, he just didn’t know a lot about his people. When he realised his mistake, he tried to fix it, but the revolutionaries were too enraged.
Wow, you must have done a good amount of research. It would be educational and fun then. Ever since Miss Hedgcock recommended the Men Of Grit series I’ve wanted to read them. Are you going to write a series?
Not sure yet
Really! So do I! My siblings and I just finished filming a 30 min. movie about the french revolution. Actually, the only reason I started doing filmmaking was because I liked drama so much.
What view do you hold on the French Revolution?
I agree. your guys books sound super cool. I want read them when they are published. I love historical action / adventure books. And John J Horn books are great. Have you ever read in the reign of terror?
Oh yes! I’ve read about 30 hefty books. So good!
Yes, Henty is great.
Oops *Henty
Who wrote them?
G.A Henty
I’ve heard a lot about him. He published books in the late 18 and early 1900’s. What genre are his books?
Yes that’s him. Historical Adventures is what I describe his books as.
Is there any with mystery?
The queen’s cup and colonel thorndykes secret. I haven’t read these but my brother has and he says they really good. There was one I heard about called Dorothy’s Double-a tale of a great deception. Sounds mysterious but I haven’t read it yet. My favourite one that I have read would have to be the Cornet of Horse. Have you read that one? So good!
Yes, I have had that problem with the Bakers.
Ooooh, I love Henty!
Another good one with mystery is The Lost Heir!
Oh and the Cat of Bubastees! Now thats a mystery!
Those sound interesting. They might be my next books.
Oh, yes I forget about that one!
Captains Bailey’s Heir is a great G.A Henty mystery too!
Oh! I love G.A.Henty!!!!!
Actually I think part of my problem is that I solve book mysteries very easily. So The cat of babastes. And Captain Bailey’s heir were actually quivkly solved in my mind.
Exactly! My problem too. Did you have that problem with any of the Baker books? I don’t like the forth book because I knew it wasn’t Jigson all along.
I usually have that problem also. Book three 3 I was thinking it wasn’t Bud Larone though because book writers like to trick you.In book 4 I went back and forth on who could be Jigson until Garth told the twins to disobey their parents.
No, I knew it wasn’t Jigson as soon as she noticed his eyes. In none of the other books does it really talk about her noticing his appearance, so that was just odd. That’s why I knew that it wasn’t Jigson. Miss Hedgecock put too much emphasis on his outward appearance.
That’s true. I should have paid attention to that.
Haha! I’m like that all the time. I should have paid attention. 😐.
I really like the audio dramas, but they have to change them a little to make it only two hours long.
Oh, I loved Cat of Bubastes!
Yes that was rather and easy mystery!
But a good book. Do you all listen to the henty audio dramas? heirloomaudio.com
Yes, my siblings love the audio dramas I like them to course. but I’d rather read the books.
I agree they get changed a lot.
John J Horn’s books are awesome! I am writing a novel and me my siblings and some friends of ours are filming a series of episodes about a kids spy organization. I ended up being the editor, director, writer AND part-time cameraman! LOL!
Cool!
That sounds like my life in a nutshell:) At least my filmmaking life! Glad to know there are other people like that! When we filmed our historical fiction movie last summer, I was scriptwriter, costume designer, set builder, director, cameraman (woman?) and actress! That was a very stressful couple of months! But also extremely fun! isn’t filmmaking awesome? Your movie sounds amazing!
thanks. It’s not great we are hoping ae next will be better. It was kind of hard to film as we kept on having to refilm scenes as little siblings did “something”.
Oh and I acted. Your movie sounds cool too!
Filmmaking is awesome!!! We haven’t watched it together yet.
So do you do films?
That’s cool! We just recently moved and began going to a church that would probably do that too with me.But until recently I didn’t have anyone to do it with so I hope to start soon. My siblings are terrified of the camera. 😉
Oh, my family and I love the G.A Henty audio dramas!
Too bad! My siblings have no choice! Not that all of them have the same degree of talent:)
If you don’t mind me asking how old are your siblings.
So mostly I have just done music videos and really short films. I have a ton of ideas tho.
Is the book you are editing one you wrote I assume?
Yes I am writing a book. It’s so fun! Thats why Miss Hedgcock’s posts are so encouraging! I have five brothers and three sisters. I am the oldest and the youngest is 2. So I have a lot of actors!
Fun! I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters. The youngest is 4 months.
I have 4 sisters and 3 brothers. The youngest is 7 months.
I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters. The youngest is 15 months, and the oldest is 21
Looks like this post has more comments than all of the others now.
Yes, it dose now.
I have 4 brothers all under the age of eight am the oldest.
That’s cool!
So back to topic, what does everyone think about the more minor characters in the Baker family adventure? ie. The Wilbers, the Drakes, the Freylads, etc.?
The Wilbers should definitely come back. and Grath needs to come back.
I like the Wilburs especially Emily. I love the Drakes with my favorite being Millie. It may just be me but she doesn’t strike me as the smart type. The Freylads were cool when they attacked the men with boots at Loch Ness. Garth should come back sometime and also Cassidy, Alistair, and Fergus. It would be neat to have Guothmunder and Cervantes come back and work with Jigson. Maybe Dr. Roth could appear.
I would love for Garth to come back! He is one of my favorite characters!
Yes!!!!
Guthmunder is a must. There was something mysterious about him. I wonder if he has a secret past? I so loved Cassidy! And the Freylads were a neat idea. You know, I have often wondered how Miss Hedgcock comes up with all this!
Yeah, me too. Most minor characters are not cool but Miss Hedgcock’s are always neat and we want them to come back.
Yes!
I want all the minor chacters to become main chacters LOL.
I think that if Emily Wilbur were to become mature enough to marry, a courtship between her and Phil would be nice, especially since the Wilbur family lives near the Baker family.
So…
Last night I was some parts of Hunting in the Highlands and I relay think Abby and Alister would be great together.
Also this question has been driving me nuts. How did the Drakes know Detective Mortimer??
I’m not sure but Uncle Clive hired him.
That is the best idea so far!
The Drakes know Mortimer from Book 1. He was on the case when Millie was kidnapped.
I read
Right, but if you recall Uncle Clive said he knew exactly who to call and it was detective Mortimer. How did they knew each other before that?
Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah, how *did* they know each other?
Did anyone notice the reoccurring Greek theme in Book 7? All the dogs (except Zephyr) where named after greek letters, the Greek letter Alpha played an important part in the story, and the Aegis is a symbol in Greek Mythology. What do you think it means?
It means that Miss Hedgcook has another mystery up her sleeve!😉
Thats so neat! It’s been awhile since I took greek :O Good perception for noticing that! I never picked that up!
And the Zephyr is the Greek god of the west wind, too! I love how Miss Hedgcock solves one mystery, and immediately leaves us with another!
Right! I forgot about that. Good thinking!
Oh wow, is that a hint to the eight book?
Oh my goodness. There have been like over a hundred new comments since I last checked this post! I know you talked about this, but I dont think Jigson should marry, I love GA Henty, I think Phil is the only one who should marry right now–actually, he could wait–, and I want Garth and Guthmunder( however you spell that) should come back.
It’s spelled Guomundur. And yes he should come back.
I agree, I don’t think Jigson should marry at all and Phil is the only one should—to Briosa!
Yes! And maybe Abby later on.
What about maybe Aby and Ira because they both play music. And Ira is an inventor too.
That’s an idea I like.
1. Top 2 male characters: Jigson and Phil. Jigson is definitely my favorite, and then Phil would be my favorite Baker.
2. Top 2 female characters: This one’s a little more difficult. Of course Abby, she is the only girl in the Baker family, and then I think I really like Briosa second.
3. Favorite villain: Again, this is really hard for me to choose… I think I would go with Dainn, since he actually was trying to help people, in a bad way, but nevertheless, he thought he was a hero. Although I really do like Garth too, but I don’t know if he really should count, since he turned out to be a good guy.
4. Favorite title in the series: I think I’d go with The Treacherous Trail. It has a really epic sound to it!
5. Should one of the characters be in a relationship/courtship: Definitely Briosa and Phil. Their personalities balance out really well, and Phil is getting older… Jigson should stay single of course. There hasn’t been anyone so far that would be good for him, and family life doesn’t seem to suit a secret agent.
Totally agree!!!
I totally agree with you!
This is to answer C.R.’s questions:
Favorite male characters are definitely Jigson, then Phil (Jigson is my favorite character!)
Favorite female characters would probably be Abby then Briosa
Favorite bad guy would have to be Garth
My favorite title is probably Iceland intrigue–I don’t have a reason, I just like it 🙂
And yes I think some of the characters should be involved in a relationship, here’s who I think should get who:
Phil- Definitely Briosa!!!
Abby-Fergus, Alister, or Rolf
If Rolf and Alister aren’t for Abby then maybe one of them could marry Millie
Andy- maybe Emily…?
Yes Phil and Briosa!!!
1. Jigson and Phil
2. Abby and Briosa
3. Rolf/escaped convicts
4. Iceland Intrigue because the name makes you very curious as to what is going to happen.
5. I think a relationship might be a good idea since the Bakers are getting older.
Thank you for writing such an amazing series. My parents got me the first four books for Christmas the year before Prisoner of the Pyrenees came out. I started Summer of Suspense and I could not put it down. My favorite scene in the whole series is when Abby and Millie are in the elevator in Miss Verton’s headquarters and the doors open reveling Jigson holding a gun. The following scenes where Jigson orchestrates the whole escape plan is great. Jigson is definitely my favorite character in the series. I love how well he takes care of the Bakers in dangerous situations.
I can not wait for book 8!
That’s my favorite scene too!
As the reader the first time through it like takes your breath away when the doors open.
As the reader it takes your breath away when the elevator doors open.
Yes it does. I think on my first read through, my heart literally stopped and didn’t start again for quite a while. I only relaxed after Jigson said “Amen” at the end of Phil’s prayer. 😊
Yeah, I had never read an adventures book before so it was very cool. I had the book put up for years before I actually began to read it but couldn’t put it down afterward.
I started reading Sunrise suspense as soon as I got it and finished it that night.
*Summer of* Suspense
*Summer of Suspense*?
My phone Autocorrected it to sunrise so I was just clarifying that it was
Summer of Suspense.
Auto correct can be a nuisance.
Yes
Oops did not mean to post the same thing twice.
There are a lot of comments on here! You guys have picked up so many things! I am going to have to read them all over again! Has anyone read the Kingdom series by Chuck Black?
yes!! Chuck Black is my favorite!
I know his books are really good!
Have you read them all ?
Really he has a new series! I can’t read the wars of the realm yet.
my favorite kingdom book is probably Kingdoms dawn,
Oh yes, my brother is trilled because on his birthday this year he can begin reading Wars of the Relms. Yes he dose have a new series hopefully he will be publicly announcing them soon so I can find out more about them. And then he said the first book should come out next year.
Wars of the Relms are my favorite you’ll love them.
Yes I have read all of the Kingdom series but I am still reading the Knights of Arrethtrae, have you read those? I have the first one (Sir Kendrick and the castle of Bel Lione) and I am trying to get Sir Bently and Holbrook court (or whatever it’s called!) which one was your favorite in the series?
I own all of Chuck Black’s books the kingdom serires, The Knights of Arrethtrae and Wars of the Relm. I can’t wait for his new series to come out. But you might not have known about his new series since he hasn’t publicly announced it yet. My Favorite book in the Kingdom serires is Kingdoms quest, Favorite Knights of Arrethtrae book is Lady Carliss and the waters of Moure, favorite Wars of the relm book is light of the last. And fare waring the Knights of arrethtrae books are not like the kingdom series book. You can read them out of order if you cannot get your hands on all the copies at once. BUT whatever you do you must read Sir Dalton and the shadow heart before you read Lady Carliss and the waters of Moure.
wow, I can’t wait! I am looking forward to reading Wars of the realms
Are wars of the realm sort of the same as the kingdom books?
No, they are very different but very good.
Hold on, did we just hit comment 300?!
WOW!!!!
No way?!
Wow we wont stop talking. LOL
Ha ha. We we have a lot of topics to cover!
*well
For sure.
First, I am finding it really hard to achoose a favourite male character. Phil and Alistair are top 2, but I also really like Rolf, Jigson and Fergus.
Favourite Female, Probably Briosa and Abby.
Favourite Villain, Miss Verton.
Favourite novel, Hunting the Highlands. It keeps getting better and better as the stories intertwine, and things come together. I don’t think that any of the characters should enter into a serious relationship yet, because it distracts from the story, as you see on this page where practically all the comments are about it! Also it could change the characters too much.
Hi Lucia, it’s good to see you on here!
I love how a whole bunch of the people on here know each other or are connected somehow.
It is nice to know people
Yeah, I’m sure it is.
Yeah, I’m sure it is
Did anyone cry in book five when Jigson had falsely died? I’ll admit, that I did . . . .
Oh yes, quite a bit. That’s one thing I couldn’t see ahead of! Until I read the epilogue:) Yes its my favourite of all her books.
I didn’t cry. But I screamed NOO and dropped the book.
I don’t usually cry, but I think my eyes were a little watery…I was pretty mad though. I believe I reacted a bit like Jac.
I blinked the tears back and didn’t talk to anyone for thirty minutes after, scared I would completely cry.
Yes , I was definitely mad and could not believe that Miss Hedgcook would actually kill Jigson!!!
I was 90% sure that she wouldn’t, make that couldn’t kill him. I was sad, but I was pretty certain she would “somehow” bring him back. At least I hoped she would!
I’m SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad he didn’t actually die.
uh yes
I did!
It has been said of me that I don’t know how to cry . But I do scream pretty easily.
LOL yes. Real fishhook in that last chapter. Yes I hardly ever cry over books. But that one was an exception. I guess I also cried over J.J. Horn’s last book, but those were the only ones. Thats when you know you have read a good book i guess.
I “cried ” in the Wide Wide World but I think that was more to with news I found out that day then the book. Especially because I don’t really care too much for that book. The only other book I can think of is Kingdoms Quest a couple of tears did hit my nose.
Ah yes. Chuck Black?
Yes, Have you read his books?
Only a few of the Kingdom ones and that was awhile ago. But they were pretty good.
do you mean secret of the lost settlement, when Edward dies? I cried a little over that…
I love J.J Horns books!!!!!!!!!
Spoiler to those who have not read this book! This will ruin the story for you. But yes. Edmund was one of my favourite characters. And the way he looked so calmly into the face of death and even joked about it was sad. Then there was Elyna to think about. Yes I love them too!
Yeah, I never cried except for that. Very good books do that.
Who wants to “bet” we will get 52 more comments on this post and get to 400 comments.
let’s do it!
Let’s go for it!
It’s done now. Let’s work on six hundred.
Your on! I bet we will make it to 450!
We are 405 right now.
Here’s a question that’s been bothering me. How did Alistair know that Monsieur Venue was actually Jigson if everyone thought he was dead?
Good question! Here are a few ideas. Alistair and Lachlan were obviously very close and it would appear that Lachlan knew of haelix AKA Jigson perhaps he told Alistair information about him. Also Alistair was in touch with Rolf so perhaps Rolf hinted to him certain things or perhaps Detective Mortimer told Rolf to hint certain things to Alistair. This one is a little far-fetched but it could be Alistair said that he saw Miss Verton’s records perhaps he saw Jigson’s records as well and just put a few things together. Also if you recall Detective Mortimer said Jigson had stoped contacting him and could have been discovered could it be the Alistair caught him doing something or snooping around.
Those are some interesting theories!
He’s a smart guy? Jac’s answer is much better!
And also Abby questioned if he really was Jigson.
Good point.
I love BFA theories
.
I know! I spend hours a day thinking up BFA conspiracy theories! My friends and I think that Miss Verton, after purchasing Haelix, erased his memories of the time he spent in her company using the GlowRay. That may explain why he was unconscious for so long.
That is a great theory.
Hey, Jubilee, that was *MY* idea! Lol! 😉
Jubilee the theory stealer. LOL 😂
Ha ha!
I think 500 comments would be an accomplishment!
If everyone posted there favorite BFA theory would could make that goal.
Sorry, I think I missed something what is “BFA”?
Baker Family Adventures 😉
BFA stands for Baker Family Adventures
thanks!
also, you may want to split your comments into two or three!
good point
I am reading Baker family number……… actually I am not sure yet I will decide now.
What dose everyone think of Detective Clement Gray?
I mentioned earlier that maybe he was working for the Glenn. When he was asking Phil about his education, he could have been looking for more recruits. Though Phil was about 17 at the time and was homeschooled his entire life. It’d be kinda hard to “brainwash” him.
Jubilee, my theory is that he asked Phil but he is actually looking at Tom. Under the assumption that Tom would be raised the same way Phil was. He was asking Phil about it to learn about how Tom would be raised which could explain why when Tom was kidnapped he was taken to the Glen.
You’re pretty smart, Jac. That is a good theory.
Riddle of the Ruby Ring has always been one of my favorite books and I have huge conspiracy theories between Miss Verton, Jigson Detective Clement Gray, Bud Larone and the James’s
Wow. I never thought of it that way!
Has anyone else ever wondered what Miss Hedgcook thinks when she reads all of our crazy theories Lol.
Yeah.
Jubilee, you basically just copied the exact thing I said on a different post! Why do you keep “stealing” my ideas? 😉 LOL
Phil was 18 in Riddle Of The Ruby Ring.
Thanks 😊
…but maybe the Glen and the RDC are connected, and they could’ve somehow used the GlowRay on him…
I don’t like Mr. Gray!
Any writers post your favorite piece of writing advice. Every comment counts!
Mine is the Try\ fail cycle
I don’t really have a favorite piece of writing advice, but the Snowflake Method is the best book on writing I’ve read so far.
Trial and Error for me!
I believe they are deeply connected and actually have a theory that maybe Dáinn actually ordered Jigson’s parents to be killed because he actually secretly runs them both.
I believe they are deeply connected and actually have a theory that maybe Dáinn actually ordered Jigson’s parents to be killed because he actually secretly runs them both.
Oh yes I’m sure the RDC and the Glen are connected. Been thinking that since I read Hunting in the Highlands. Its just too coincidental.
Bing no for Grey. However, I think he is really smart and is actually a double-agent trying to act uninformed to gain information.
*big
LOL theory rivals
Oh I REALLY wonder what she thinks about us filling up her blog with all these ideas. But if anyone needs feedback, she’s got it!!! I love all this brainstorming!
True!
Great minds think alike!!!
True again… LOL 😂
I think he’s mysterious and could be a hidden villain.
For sure
If at first you dont secede try try again…. which really is good advise for anything not just writing.
I’ve been trying…:)
Keep trying dont give up you can do it. LOL
Thanks! Yes I’ve been trying for the past two years. One doesn’t write a book over night. But the inspiration came pretty quick. Now I just have to write it down!
That’s true. I’ve re-started and re-started over and over again on my novel. I think some good advice is to just write it all out, and then edit. Something I really struggle with.
Did we just hit comment 399?
Only 100 more comments left to go to hit our 500 comments goal.
We hit comment 400!
🎊🎉
Who here would like to know more about Mr. Baker’s side of the family we know nothing about them.
I would!
Oh yes! Haven’t thought about that!
I would!
That’s true! I would like to know more about that.
I would.
What if…
What if… The Bakers meet Jigson in disguise somehow, but never know it? What if he actually is in Riddle of the Ruby Ring, and nobody knows? Where was he anyways? And what other missions has he had that the Bakers are not a part of? And what crimes did Bud Larone, from a sleepy country town, commit–enough to attract the eye of a distinguished British Detective like Mortimer Jones?
Ah, I can see the steam coming from everyone’s brains. Keep working!!! Good thought!
Mind. Blown. The thought never crossed my mind that Jigson could’ve possibly been in Riddle!
I have always wondered why he wasn’t. After all, it’s the only book he isn’t in.
I know. I’ve questioned that too.
I have a big conspiracy theory between Riddle of the Ruby Ring and the other books. But in a nutshell I believe Bud Larone was hired by Miss Verton to steal the artifacts and get the ring. I believe she had the information to make her story look beliveable at first because the James are actually her and Jigson’s grandparents.
I think he was I’m just not sure were or how.
Ah ha! Well I’ve always wondered about that book because it docent really fit the template of the others. You never know…
I had the same idea Jac! Remember all the artifacts that Miss Verton has in her office?
Yes exactly !
Oh, yes. I hope he was.
Great questions.
(Oh, and my sister wants there to be more Cello scenes. She plays it 😉
Agreed
That’s cool! I love the Cello and any other musical instrument.
I really like the cello
What I would like to know is, what happened to all those guys in the treacherous trail, like the criminals I mean, where on earth is Grth, what happened to whatever his name is, in Prisoners of the Pyrenees, you know the guard that knocked everyone out? That guy. Kind of liked him. If anyone here has seen Princess Bride, he reminded me of the Giant Phesic.
Manuel? Was that his name?
Yes that’s his name!
Manel. Yes, I wonder about the criminals too. Did anyone notice that The Treacherous Trail never does say that they got arrested? It ended with the Police closing off the area.
Jubilee, we posted at the exact same minute!
Jubilee, you and I also did the same thing when answering about what BFA stood for LOL.
Yes.
Yes, I’ve wondered about that.
Than again, it’s been years since I watched that movie (it’s kind of weird) So I don’t really know who I would compare him to!
No I agree with that connection
Exactly!
you all are brilliant. I am trying to stay on the ball.
Catch us if you can LOL. 😂😉
This is no marathon, I’m a sprinter!
After Prisoner of the Pyrenees was published, I had months to ponder the mysterious events in it–especially the epilogue. I didn’t cry when I read it, because my friend (ahem!) um, told me all about it… And after Iceland Intrigue, my sister and I would have lengthy discussions about conspiracy theories. We had so long to wait, that it gave us a lot of time. And when I learned that Hunting in the Highlands was in the making, well, that didn’t help either. So in short, I’ve thought a lot about this subject! Very excited to see it becoming more popular on this blog!
Uh yeah, sorry about that…😬 I just didn’t want you to have to experience thinking (even for a few minutes) that Jigson was actually dead!
Not very nice! And you told me about Miss Verton too! And Iceland Intrigue, and Hunting in the Highlands… I’ll just need to get the eight book first and then I can spoil it for you! 😀
You two are fun to watch.
Bad friend LOL 🤐
