Your Questions Part 4 and Reverse Q&A!

Hello everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s been a while since I did a Q&A post here (sorry about that). Many of you were intrigued by the idea of a reverse Q&A, where I ask you things I’m curious about. So after tackling a few of your questions, I’ll ask you some of my own!

1) Will the Predzels be in any future books?

I’m not sure yet. I haven’t planned to include them, but they may appear in a future story if they could help the main characters.

2) Did Sigurd get Gleym back?

Yes, definitely. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love the fact that you remembered to ask about her!

3) Do we know what happened to Jigson’s parents?

Oh, I can’t wait for you to read Hunting in the Highlands! The answer is yes!

4) How much of the Hrein Orka in Iceland Intrigue is based on real science, and how much is fiction?

It’s mainly fiction … but who knows? Maybe there are principles of it that someone has yet to discover ๐Ÿ˜‰

5) What is the significance of ‘Twelve Lemons’?

It’s a phrase with quite a personal meaning for Jigson and Detective Mortimer – otherwise it wouldn’t have guaranteed Jigson’s identity in Iceland Intrigue.

Is it part of a big mystery? Or is it something more innocuous? Will they spill the beans in Book 8? … Maybe!

6) When you wrote Hunting the Highlands did you plan out the whole book before you started writing?

Yes. I did make a careful plan so that the book would progress with logical structure and so I would know where the story was going – it had the potential to be quite confusing with characters splitting up and traipsing all over Scotland.

But the need to be flexible arose when I reached the end and realized that the climax was not right for the story … so a whole new ending had to be written!

Do you have burning questions for a future post? Send them via the contact page!

Now … here are my questions for you! ๐Ÿ™‚

1. Who are your top 2 favourite male characters?

2. Who are your top 2 female characters?

3. Who is your favourite villain? (Miss Verton, Lewis Nickel, Bud Larone, Rolf/escaped convicts, Dainn, Herr Klaus, or someone else?)

4. Which is your favourite title in the series, and why?

5. Should one of the characters be in a relationship/courtship? Who and why? (I’m not promising anything by asking this ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m genuinely curious! ๐Ÿ™‚ )

I look forward to finding out what you think! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Favorite Jigson quote? Thatโ€™s a hard one…I like when he said something like this…

โ€œIf you let everyone go, Haelix will turn himself in.โ€
    โ€œI have a feeling youโ€™re Haelix, and youโ€™re coming anyways.โ€
โ€œAre you willing to take that risk?โ€
    โ€œI think so.โ€
    โ€œRun Haelix!โ€ … โ€œI think that risk just backfired.โ€

I donโ€™t have my copy of Hunting at the moment so if anyone knows how this scene really goes, please let me know.

  2. It goes “You can tell your ceannard that Haelix himself will come if the others are allowed to go free.” “That name means nothing to me.” “I don’t know this person.” “Phone Lachlan.” “Find out if this deal is of interest to him.” “No. I’m not going to bother him.” “Why not?” “Because I think your Haelix aren’t you? And you’re coming anyways.” ” you sound very sure.” “I’ll take the risk.” ………. “Haelix, run!”

  3. For me, if I had a question it would be, Who is Goothunduer? (how do you spell his name?)
And if I had one thing I wish was different, It would be that I wished that DM used a more sophisticated code or no code at all in Peril on Providence Island than aigy paigy. Wasn’t as professional.

  4. When it comes to Peirl on Providence Island I wonder if maybe DM was purposely being a little unprofessional so that the thugs would hack his email so that they could follow the thugs to the treasure and get the thugs at the same time.

  5. I’ve always wondered what you thought but the last day or two I’ve seriously wondered what she thinks when she reads our comments LOL. But I bet she gets in several good laughs!๐Ÿ˜‰

  6. here’s a scene that I have always found interesting.
When Guomundur saw Dr. Roth properly, his eyes bulged. “Doctor Roth.”
Dr. Roth considered the tone of insult and slipped his hands in his pockets. “Gummi.” “Do-not-call me that. I have a crooked finger because of you,” Guoumundur burst out.
“You have a finger because of me.”

I wonder what dr Roth did? not long to a thousand. Then we will have to move on to another post. LOL!

  7. post your favorite bible verse that has been used in the baker books.
Mine is, Psalm 91:7-8, a THOUSAND may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked. – Prisoner in the Pyrenees

  8. Favorite verse?

Hebrews 13:6 “So we may boldly say ‘The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” -Prisoner of the Pyrenees.

  9. I also really like 1 Timothy 4:12
Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the Believers in word, inconduct, in love, in spirit, in fa it , in purity.

  10. Well, it had been a pleasure to get to know you all a little bit! Man, I’m going to miss this! Thanks all for the neat comments, it was so fun! And to Miss Hedgecock, a big thank you for letting us post all these comments on your blog! We all enjoy your books so much and really look forward to number 8! And to all of my fellow “commenters:)” See you on the next post!

    1st Timothy 4:12
